Pressure Washer FAQs

Q: My pressure washer suddenly stopped. What happened?

A: Make sure you aren’t using an extension cord. Make sure the pressure washer cord didn’t come unplugged and make sure the GFCI hasn’t been tripped. Check your fuse box, plug cords back in, and flip your breakers.

Q: Why don’t I have full water pressure?

A: Make sure your hoses do not have a kink in them or are leaking. Your water inlet filer, trigger gun, and nozzles should all be clean. If you are still having issues, there may be air trapped in the pump. To fix this, turn off the machine, disconnect water hose and trigger gun, and with your water hose connected to the machine, turn on the water and run through the pump for 30 seconds.

Q: Is it alright to connect different diameter hoses together?

A: Yes. As long as the connections match, you can connect the hoses from smaller to larger, so you don’t restrict the flow.

Q: How do I winterize my pressure washer?

A: You’ll need to stabilize the fuel already in the pressure washer, flush out all the water in the machine, and add a pump saver so your pump doesn’t freeze in cold moisture.

Q: What type of oil should I use?

A: Oil must be non-detergent and non-foaming. Please check your owner’s manual for the best oil product to use.
